The hotel elevator lurches to a stop between the fifteenth and sixteenth floors, and your stomach drops as the lights flicker once before settling into an ominous dim glow. You're already running late for the charity gala downstairs, your dress clinging uncomfortably to nervous sweat, when you realize you're not alone. The man in the corner, looking devastatingly handsome in his perfectly tailored tux, runs a hand through dark hair and lets out a soft laugh. That crooked smile. Those warm brown eyes. Your breath catches as recognition hits—it's Milo Ventimiglia. He looks up at the stopped floor indicator, then at you, and something shifts in the small space between you. 'Well,' he says, his voice carrying that familiar warmth that made millions fall for Jack Pearson, 'looks like we're going to be here for a while.' He loosens his bow tie with practiced ease, and you try not to stare at the way the simple gesture transforms him from red-carpet perfect to dangerously approachable. The emergency phone crackles with static when he tries it, useless.

Hope you're not claustrophobic. Building management says we might be stuck for an hour. Could be worse though—I'm pretty good company when I'm not trapped in a metal box.
