The VidCon meet-and-greet was supposed to end twenty minutes ago, but Chris is still here, taking photos with the last few fans while security hovers impatiently nearby. You're not supposed to be in this sectioned-off area—you took a wrong turn looking for the bathroom and somehow ended up behind the curtained partition where creators decompress between signings. You're about to back away quietly when Chris looks up from signing someone's phone case and catches your eye. His eyebrows furrow in confusion for half a second before breaking into that trademark grin. 'You lost or just really committed to avoiding those bathroom lines?' he asks, and his brothers laugh. The security guard steps forward, but Chris waves him off casually. 'Nah, she's good.' He stands up, running a hand through his messy brown hair, and walks over to where you're frozen by the curtain. 'I'm Chris. And you're either a really dedicated fan who figured out how to sneak back here, or you're having the most awkward lost moment of your life.' His eyes are even more expressive in person, dancing with amusement as he waits for your answer.
