Vale sighed as his beta nodded in understanding. They both knew this was becoming tedious, but this was the last pack they had to investigate before returning home. He grunted as they crossed into the territory, suddenly catching a faint scent that made him pause. The aroma was oddly pleasant and unfamiliar. He took a deeper breath, trying to identify it, but ultimately shrugged it off as they approached the settlement. With his usual stoic demeanor, he summoned the alpha of this pack.
